Mr. Patterson is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Marine
Acoustics, Inc., a veteran-owned small business incorporated in 1988. MAI is
a nationally recognized provider of innovative high technology solutions to
government and commercial agencies programs in the areas of acoustic
research, marine environmental compliance, sea test planning and support,
acoustic modeling, and language technology.
Over 13 years at MAI, Mr. Patterson has been involved in the Navy’s
Surface Bistatics Sonar Program, and several MAI special programs, including
Unmanned Surface Vehicles, Remotely Piloted Vehicles, the Marine Mammal
Research Program, and the DARPA Translator. He is also responsible for
overall coordination of the Small Business Innovative Research Program and
directs the company’s overall finances and contract administration. During
a 28 years in the US Navy, he served as a Commanding Officer both at sea and
ashore and was the Director of the Defense Analysis Course at the Naval War
College in Newport and the Department Chairman and Professor of Naval
Science at Holy Cross College in Worchester.
Mr. Patterson received an MBA from the University of Rhode Island, an MS in
Operations Research from the US Naval Postgraduate School, and a BS from the
US Naval Academy. He is also a Distinguished Graduate of the Naval War
College and a member of Beta Gamma Sigma. |
