A native Rhode Islander who started his career with U.S. Customs in 1974 before accepting a position in Boston in 1984. He later returned to RI in 1994 as the Port Director. In his current position he has oversight responsibility of RI operations involving the movement of international freight, conveyances, admissibility of aliens, and agriculture.
