Bob Tomlinson
Assistant Commissioner
Kansas Insurance Department

Robert Tomlinson is Assistant Commissioner of the Kansas Insurance Department. Prior to joining the Kansas Insurance Department in January 2003, Tomlinson served in the Kansas House of Representatives. Elected to six terms, he most recently served as Chairman of the House Insurance Committee. He was also a member of the Education, Fiscal Oversight and Commercial and Financial Institution committees. Tomlinson has served as a member of the United States Canadian Relations Committee of the Midwest Region of the Council of State Governments. He is currently pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Educational Administration. He received a Masters of Liberal Arts from Baker University and a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Kansas. Bob is a resident of Roeland Park, Kansas. He and his wife Carole, have two children.
