The Public Forum Institute organized a follow up summit to its National Women’s Small Business Summit 2000 in Kansas City. Again chaired by Senator Christopher S. Bond, the 2002 Summit was held in St. Louis, Missouri. Participants represented women business owners, women entrepreneurs, business and trade associations, federal, state and local government leaders, organized labor, the media, and others.

With growing concern in 2002 over jobs and economic growth, the summit focused on entrepreneurship, health care, access to capital, procurement and regional opportunities.
