Our nation's response to the events of September 11, 2001 has been nothing short of astounding. Not in decades has the strength of the American character been so thoroughly tested and our nation passed with such high scores.

One response from our government has been a resolve to dedicate American ingenuity to homeland security. Both public and private sector leaders have come together to find ways to ensure that we employ America’s best ideas today to protect our citizens tomorrow. 

On September 18 & 19, 2002, the Homeland Security Expo showcased hundreds of products and services with homeland security applications. The expo provided an opportunity for federal procurement officers, law enforcement officials, Congressional staff and others to learn more about the products currently being developed to strengthen the defense of our nation.
